The Mirror-Fish

 

The attached photo features a small round convex glass mirror with a gypsum frame shaped like a fish or perhaps a dolphin. The tail of the creature served as the handle for the mirror.The visible hole was perhaps made for the purpose of fixing the mirror onto a wall or some piece of furniture.

Dimensions of the frame: length 19.8 cm, width 9.2 cm, thickness 1.1 cm. Diameter of the glass sheet 3.6 cm.
