Flanged Ax

 


Several examples of flanged axes with three well-defined ridges decorating the heel were discovered in the port city of Ugarit. The fine craftsmanship they display indicates that they were luxury objects belonging to the ruling class.

Era: Late Bronze Age (1300 BC).
Material: Bronze.
