A Small Mirror with a Large Frame

 

The size of this convex glass mirror is exceptionally small relative to its gypsum frame. The frame features an ornament consisting of concentric dark green circles on a yellowish to reddish background.

Provenance: Dibsī (northeast of Aleppo). 
Diameter of the frame 12.5 cm with a thickness of 1,2 cm. Diameter of the glass sheet 2 cm. 
Era: Roman.
