This lion is a smaller version of yesterday's specimen with few additional differences, namely the presence of a collar and a pendant in the shape of an inverted crescent, a larger head, a wider opening of the mouth, and a somewhat coarser workmanship.
The anterior part of the pedestal is broken, and the forepaws are missing.
Provenance: ʿIrā. Discovered in 1919 and stored at the Teacher's College (Dār al-Muʿallimīn), al-Mazzā. It was transferred to the Museum at a later date.
Era: first century CE.
Substance: basalt.
