This head represents a youthful god with an unbreaded face and wide-open eyes. He is crowned by a bulky wreath of grapes, ivy, and a four-petalled rosette at the center. The sculpture is diagonally severed at the upper neck and the nose is damaged. The fragment is covered with a patina with a greenish shimmer.
Provenance: aš-Šayẖ Saʿd (Czech Archaeological Mission 1924). Acquired by the National Museum in May 1925.
Era 2nd - 3rd century CE.
