A Bronze Dancer

 


This statuette was confiscated by the DGAM in 1966. It features a dancing girl standing on her right foot and slightly flexing her left leg. The head is leaning to the right. The left forearm and the entire right upper extremity are missing. She wears a Phrygian headdress and a robe that forms ample folds below the pelvis and descends to cover the knees. She appears to be barefoot.
