The Lyre Player

 


This pottery lamp features a woman playing a lyre.

Provenance:?
Dimensions: 8.4 cm (diameter of the lamp), 4 cm (the woman's height). 
Era: Roman (first century CE).

Collection: National Museum of Damascus (acquired in 1954).
