A Woman and Her Lyre

 


This seated, amply robed woman supports a triangular-shaped lyre with her left hand and shoulder, while she manipulates the instrument with the fingers of her right hand.

Provenance:Ḥamā Governorate (discovered in 1934). 
Dimensions: 16.9 x 10 x 5 cm. 
Era: Roman.
