Tyche at the Helm III

 


This statuette represents the fortune goddess in a powerful stance holding the remains of a ship's helm with her right hand and a cornucopia with her left. The facial expression is that of serenity. The hair is dressed elegantly backward, and a polos crowns the head. The body is wrapped with an ample robe held with a belt under the breasts. The lower part of this piece is missing.
