Tanf II

 

The attached photo is of one of eight stones carrying Ṣafāʾitic inscriptions discovered 35 kilometers southeast of at-Tanf and brought to the National Museum of Damascus in 1966. The translation of this inscription is as follows:

From Ṣur, son of Tam from the Bax tribe and (?) placed stones over the tomb of Yaslam

Material : ?
Dimensions : "small".
Era : Roman or Byzantine.
