Tanf VI

The attached photo is of one of eight stones carrying Ṣafāʾitic inscriptions discovered 35 kilometers southeast of at-Tanf and brought to the National Museum of Damascus in 1966.

This stone has suffered significant damage, making an accurate reading of the inscription near impossible. Only scattered letters are discernible between the gaps but no comprehensible words, let alone sentences.

Material : ?
Dimensions : "small".
Era : Roman or Byzantine.
Photo credit : ʿAbd al-Wadūd Yūsuf.
Collection : National Museum of Damascus.
