Female Head (Buṣrā)

The oval face is framed on three sides by hair arranged in multiple rounded buns. The eyes, nose, mouth, and rest of the facial features are worn out and barely discernible. A left earring cannot be ruled out. The mandible is rather large, though the overall impression still suggests a woman's head. The neck is short, and the cranial vault as well as the occiput are roughly finished. The surface is covered by a thin, transparent, brownish opalescent patina.
