Located in the northern wall of the edifice, the portal is perhaps all that remains of the original structure; it is well below the present street level and now lacks the pair of benches it possessed early in the century. The door frame is a wide, splayed, pointed horseshoe, composed of bell-shaped ablaq voussoirs. It is partly surrounded by an oddly shaped molding, which loops around itself at the apex of the arch and turns back on itself at either side, in a semicircular rather than round volute. Its outside curve is uneven, and its top loop is poorly carved. Five rows of muqarnaṣ top the arch of the door frame, the third of which is gored. A semi-dome in the shape of a conch crowns the portal.
