Masǧid aṭ-Ṭaštdār aṣ-Ṣāliḥī

 

Only part of the wall of the façade and the inscribed slab on it seem to remain. An octagonal slab decorated with a circular dish, 72 cm. in diameter, having a border in the shape of a knotted fillet, 9 cm. broad; inscription in seven lines:

١. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

٢. جدّدَ هذا المسجد المبارك العبد الفقير

٣. إلى رحمةِ اللهِ تعالى عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله

٤. ابن عبد الله الطشتدار الملكي الصالحي

٥. في شهر رمضان المبارك سنة سبع

٦. وثلاثين وستّمائة تقبّل اللهُ مِنْهُ وغَفَرَ 

٧. لهُ ولوالديهِ ولجميع المسلمين

1. In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate

2. has built anew this blessed masǧid, the slave dependent

3. on the mercy of Allah Almighty, ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān, son of ʿAbd Allah 

4. son of ʿAbd Allah aṭ-Ṭaštdār al Malakī aṣ-Ṣāliḥī

5. in the blessed month of Ramaḍān of the year 637 (1)

6. May Allah accept it from him and forgive 

7. him and his parents and all Muslims
