Turbā an-Naẓīfīyyā

 

Popular name, Bayt aš-Šāṭir; near al-Ḥanābilā mosque.

Inscription

In three parts, above the pair of windows of the façade, under the cornice (decipherment unfinished) :

- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ هذه (- -)

- (-) الراجي عفو ربّه الٮص (- -)

- رحٮڡ وقبو (ر) لاده وأهله الآملين من الله

- فضله فإن رأى ألّا يحلّ (؟) بالرحم عٮم (-)

-- صٮه على ذلك داخل هنالك إنّ الله لا يضيع أجر المح (سورة الكهف الآية الثلاثون)

- توفّي في ثامن جمادى الآخر سنة اثنين وستّمائة 

- إنشاء من هذه التربة وهي وقف من (-) الواثق بعفو ربّه اللطيف محمّد بن علي بن نظيف رحم الله من ترحّم ___

Date of death: 8 Ǧumādā II 602 (January 20, 1206).

Founder: Muḥammad son of ʿAlī son of Naẓīf, seemingly not the deceased.

Simple font of a house, in good masonry, with a pair of windows, the door, a cornice, and some of the original crenelations. The interior was inaccessible in 1914.
