Dār al-Qurān al-Dulāmīya


Location: Damascus, al-Sālīḥīya Quarter.

Founder: Šihab abu alʿAbbas Aḥmad ībn Zayn al-Dīn Dulāmā.

Year of foundation: 847 A.H. (1443-1444 C.E.).

Style: Mamluke. 

The school was modernized in 1302 AH (1884-85 C.E.) by a member of the Mardam Bek family and in 1305 (1887-1888) by ʿAlī al Mu'āyyād ībn Aẖmad Bek al Mu'āyyād. 

Significance: important. 

Condition of the building: good but with a modern extension.
